If there’s anything our modern times have been good about teaching us, it is that there is nothing we can claim as normal. Even as young adults, if we had pretty much figured out what our passion was and sketched out a plan for reaching certain goals in life, I think we all have found many distractions and stumbling blocks leading to a sense of anxiety. The anxiety of thinking perhaps I’m not far enough along on the path I’ve chosen. Or maybe I’m having second thoughts about the path I chose in the first place. Time and money seem to be consuming fixations.
Is it possible to calm ourselves when such questions and concerns are whirling in our head like an impending tornado waiting to touch down and wipe us out? There are no easy answers but perhaps I can direct you today about taking time to be still to reflect on God and the healing property of such stillness from The Holy Bible, La Sainte Bible, La Santa Biblia, and Die Heilige Bibel.
Choose your preferred language from English, French, Spanish, or German below. You will notice that the English versions, the Spanish Reina Valera version and the German Luther Bible cite the number of the verse as 10. However, the French Louis Segond version, and the German Hope for All version cite the verse as number 11. Why this happened is beyond the scope of this essay. Don’t let this confuse you. Read your choice or enjoy comparing them all!
