No matter your spiritual, philosophical, or political persuasion, I think we can agree that our erratically beating hearts yearn to be filled with an inner calmness–one that might spill over into a mindful peace in our hectic daily lives, and a workable peace for our very divided world. So I welcome you with the English greeting, “Peace.”
Here it is in a few other languages of which I happen to know a bit:
In Spanish, “Paz,” pronounced [pahs].
In French, “Paix,” pronounced [pay].
In German, “Frieden,” pronounced [FREE den].
In Hebrew, “Shalom,” pronounced [shah LOM].

In that spirit, I want to share with you a website that I visit frequently: http://YouVersion.com. Or, you can also find that website at the easy-to-remember address: http://Bible.com.
You can download YouVersion free to your computer, your cell phone, and your other electronic devices so you may have words of encouragement and hope at any moment right at your fingertips. YouVersion offers Holy Scriptures in hundreds of languages and multiple versions within those languages so you can read/listen and interpret for yourself in your heart language.
Now here is my prayer for you today:
May the Creator of all time and space
And peoples of every tongue and race
Touch your heart and fill its void
With Sacred Words of peace and joy.
