In my last Nonny’s Blog Post How to Have All The Money You Need, I talked from my own personal experience. Today I’m going to quote what some notable individuals have to say. As we all know, money does matter and money matters are important.
Dave Ramsey, starting with one financial talk show on one Nashville radio station in 1992, has become a best-selling author, talk show host and speaker on finances and money management. Ramsey says, “Financial peace isn’t the acquisition of stuff. It’s learning to live on less than you make so you can give money back and have money to invest. You can’t win until you do this.”
Another financial Guru Suzi Orman, on Twitter in 2016, tweeted, “Live below your means but within your needs.” She also has said “Look everywhere you can to cut a little bit from your expenses. It will add up to a meaningful sum.”
Financial coach Nathan W. Morris says, “Every time you borrow money, you are robbing your future self.”
Finally, I want to add the gist of a quote I read a number of years ago about the loans college students take out with deferred repayments: the debts you are struggling to repay today is for yesteryears’ pizza and sneakers.
