Dear Grandchild, or I should say Dear Grand young adult of my progeny,

Let me start by telling you a little story. As a child I was keenly aware that my paternal grandparents always voted and always worked at the polls. “Grandma Carlisle” was a staunch Republican. “Pop Carlisle” was a staunch Democrat. Of course, those political party-line designations have changed in definition over the years.

The tireless family joke was that time after time “Grandma” and “Pop” effectively canceled each other’s vote! But, of course, that was not a deterrent to them. They lived in this great country called the U.S.A., and they did not take lightly the privilege of choosing those who governed them.

We are close to the 2024 November 4^th Election. Make yourself informed on the candidates and the issues. And GET READY TO VOTE!
