The Sun Still Shines Bright on My Ol’ Kentucky Home

Every morning when I walk into my SUNSHINE ROOM my attitude for the day is uplifted. I’m always amazed at how the crystal prism hanging from a window near the ceiling divides the light coming in from the sun. There are patterns splashed over the walls and floor which no computer-generated artificial intelligence can rival!

I’m sharing the photographs I just took. If you enlarge them, you will see dust, cobwebs, and strands of my white hair! But, as an octogenarian who still does her own house cleaning, I’m not going to fret over that!

I hope you smile and enjoy my Nonny’s Blog post today!

I remember Mom Carlisle’s sunshine room. I was very young but it seemed like a special place even then. To me, all those years ago, I thought of it as a happy room, but now I think it bordered on the sacred. I’m glad you have your own sunshine room, Connie! Happy Spring!
