For the second week of our blog series on Finding Peace As You Pray The Lord’s Prayer, I’m posting this prayer in French. My hope is that in your times of uncertainty and fear the Lord, through His words as found in The Holy Bible, will bring you the peace you need. This is the prayer Jesus taught His disciples to pray as it is translated en français—LSG (La Sainte Bible par Louis Segond) and recorded in The Holy Bible in the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 6, Verses 9-13.
Pray it. Reflect on it. Memorize it. But most of all, live its precepts of praise to God and forgiveness of others.
Notre Père qui es aux cieux!
Que ton nom soit sanctifié;
que ton règne vienne;
que ta volonté soit faite
sur la terre comme au ciel.
Donne-nous aujourd’hui notre pain quotidien;
pardonne-nous nos offenses,
comme nous aussi nous pardonnons à ceux qui nous ont offensés;
ne nous induis pas en tentation,
mais délivre-nous du malin.
Car c’est à toi qu’appartiennent,
dans tous les siècles,
le règne,
la puissance
et la gloire.
